Year 3 have been superstars and adapted very well to the remote teaching programme. We have managed to fit in lots of exciting learning! In English we have been busy writing adventure stories. The children created some wonderful storyboards and I was very impressed with their creative ideas. We have now just moved onto persuasive adverts and looking in some magazines at home has helped plan their designs. In Maths, year 3 has been investigating mass and capacity. Last week the children used scales and were weighing different objects in their house. They showed excellent estimating skills to improve their understanding of the concept of grams and kilograms. In the afternoons, year 3 has been working hard on their computing skills, demonstrating excellent curiosity in science and topic and sharing some beautiful artwork.
I have really enjoyed listening to the children read and hearing what they have been up to at the end of the day. We love our ‘Show and Tell’ Wednesdays and enjoy spending time playing quizzes and games during morning registration. The children have put so much effort into all their tasks and I have loved seeing the work they have created.
I miss seeing you everyday but I want you to know that Sieona and I are very proud of you all.
Well done Year 3, keep up the fantastic work and thank you to all the parents for your continued support.
