In Year 4, still in the care of their form teacher for Maths, English, French, Art, PHSE and Divinity, the children are taught by a wider range of Senior School staff for History, Geography, IT and Games.
Part of the creative English and Art curriculum include an exciting trip to London to see the Impressionist paintings at the Courtauld Gallery (and maybe a quick splash in the fountains!). Inspiration for creative work is also found at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton.
Enthusiasm for a wide range of subjects and activities is very much encouraged. On the performing Arts front the children have the opportunity to join the Intermediate Choir, singing at the Christmas Carol Concert and the Eastbourne Arts Festival to name a few. In the Spring Term Year 4 and 5 join together to present a musical play. Previous performances include Robin Hood, Oliver and The Blue Crystal.
There are plenty of opportunities for team sports at U9 and U10 levels in Netball, Football, Rugby, Rounders and Cricket. |
