Year 6 gets off to a flying start

Posted: 17th September 2014 | Category: Year 6

WOW! It hardly seems possible that we have been back for 2 weeks already! Year 6 has got off to a flying start and we are all enjoying ourselves.

A huge welcome to Alice Knight who has joined Skippers this term (along with her sister, Isobel,in Year 5). She has become 'one of the family' and has played a big part in our first match win of the season.

The girls in Year 6 formed the U11 Netball team who faced Bricklehurst on 10 team found that the hot weather and lack of match fitness played a part in a fairly tiring match.

However, all played their part and the result was an 11 – 7 win for Skippers. Captain, Eve Steward, wrote an excellent match report which she delivered in Assembly on Thursday morning.

Billy Clarke, clearly not one of the U11 Netball team, applauded his classmates enthusiastically.Billy will no doubt play his part in matches this year.

So, a super start to the term, with more to come. Watch this space!
