Year 6: CATs, Book Fair & Matches

Posted: 2nd October 2014 | Category: Year 6

We had a busy week in Year 6… CATs early on and then matches and a Book Fair to attend.

The children have been writing stories based on this half-term’s theme of Fantasy and Fairy Tales. To help understand this genre and to give them some ideas we have been reading the C.S. Lewis classic “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”. This wonderful story has certainly fired the imaginations in Year 6.

Yet again the U11 Netball team was triumphant – 3 wins in a row!

The Book Fair, run by Rosie Hill, was a great success and, thanks to the children buying many of her books, we have a generous commission with which to purchase books for the school. Once these have been chosen they will be on show for a while so that parents can see what we have bought.

October already! Where has the time gone?
