Year 4 make their version of Ted Hughes Iron Man

Posted: 1st February 2017

In English, Year 4 are studying the story of The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. Letters to the seagulls have been written from the Iron Man persuading them to give him his ear back and 4H put their team skills into practice to make a rather large model of the Iron Man.

They then added character description from the text which tied in with their work on smilies. As a cross-curricular link with their science topic, electricity, Freddie R and Fred A, made a series circuit which was added to the model to make his rather scary red eyes light up! We look forward to more adventures with the Iron Man in the coming weeks!
