Year 1 watch a performance of Captain Noah and his floating Zoo at St Dunstans

Posted: 17th October 2017

On Friday 13th October Year 1 went to visit st Dunstan’s Church in Mayfeild to watch a performance by children from Five Ashes and Mayfield CE Primary School. The performance was based on the bible story Noah’s Ark and was called Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo. The children had a fantastic morning watching the performance and joining in with the songs.

They were also able to view their artwork on display, which they had done for the Church earlier in the term.

Year 1 were able to touch on the lives of people and children living in the surrounding community and were excited about making connections between our schools. The children were very keen to discuss and ask questions about the performance and the other schools in the area. This allowed us to make links across the curriculum with Geography, PSHE and RE.

An enjoyable morning was had by all!
