What a great time of year this is for every individual in the school.

What a great time of year this is for every individual in the school! Those in Years 7 and 8 are away on sports tour in Jersey, enjoying the challenges and thrills of exploring new places and forming extra-special relationships with their peers.

Those in Years 5 and 6 have stepped up to the plate and shown their leadership skills this week as they start to show a glimpse of the school-leaders they will be in a couple of years to come. They each carry the baton into our weekly fixtures and represent the school with pride.

Every pupil in Years 3 and 4 is hard at work as preparations for their production reach fever pitch and costumes start appearing left, right and centre. Yet again I am sure the children will impress with their individual and collective contributions and show how well their self-confidence develops at the school.

From Kindergarten through to Year 2 the smiles on all of the children’s faces say it all as they enjoy the burgeoning warmth and early Spring sunshine on their forays into the woods and play areas.

And what better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than for our Under 11 girls hockey team to return from the Weston Green hockey tournament as victors! The girls did a fantastic job and each played their part in some gritty matches … I am delighted with their attitude and performance and (less magnanimously) the bragging rights at our next Heads Management Meeting in May!

Best wishes,

Mark Hammond.
