The house captain election campaign

Posted: 17th September 2014 | Category: Year 8

This year, the democratic process of choosing a House Captain has been extended.

Students in Year 7 and 8 who wanted to stand for the responsible position of House Captain have been working on their campaign. They had to prepare a short presentation for a school assembly, to persuade the rest of the school why they thought they would be the best candidate for the post. Many of them had also displayed promotional material around the school to supplement  this .

Pupils in years 5 -8 then took part in a secret ballot to vote for the captain of their house.

The grand count up of the votes, is later this week and the results of the election will be in the next newsletter.
