Settling in well

Year 3 has settled well into the new school routine where we push them towards becoming more independent learners. They have tackled both practical and theoretical tasks well, working as part of a team and as an individual to solve problems both in and outside of the classroom. In PE and games they are coping well with a range of different sporting activities: netball, football and swimming. We have focused principally on developing their co-ordination, communication and understanding of how and why we do a warm-up. Over the next few weeks we are going to focus on developing their understanding of how to attack and defend. During tutor and SKULL periods we have looked at how to make and keep friends and current affairs from around the world. In addition we have had the opportunity to listen to all of the students read several times and are all very impressed by the students confidence and eagerness to read to us as well as the rest of the class. We hope year 3 can continue to make the fantastic academic, practical and social progress they have made so far and we look forward to sharing their many exploits with you.
