KG learn ‘All about me’
Posted: 11th October 2016 | Category: Kindergarten
The Autumn Term has got off to a cracking start - all our children are now well entrenched in the Kindergarten lifestyle, enjoying our wonderful environment.
A very warm welcome this term to several new children who have joined our Skippers family - Lucas, James, Harriet, Thomas, Rory, Noa, Felix and Matilda. All are settling in splendidly and getting to know and make friends with each other.
For the first half of this term our topic is ‘All About Me’ - a wonderful way in which to get to know our new children, to find out about their family and pets, their likes and dislikes, food tastes, how they like to play, what they like to play with, who they like to play with. We have been exploring the school grounds and introducing our new children to the Adventure Playground, the Mud Kitchen and the woodlands. We have been learning about parts of our body through songs, making handprints, reading stories about being kind to each other, talking about what makes us happy and what makes us sad. We have also been busy exploring weight and measure and to this end each child has been weighed and measured - we will continue to chart their growth throughout the year.
The Kindergarten Team are extremely proud of our wonderful children!
