Harvest Festival

Posted: 17th October 2014

A wonderful view met parents when they arrived for Harvest Festival on Wednesday morning. The whole of the stage was covered with marvellous and bounteous provender: marrows, pumpkins, harvest loaves, flowers, beans, fruit, tins of goodies, chocolates . . .  the list goes on!

A packed Hall was sung to by all three School Choirs; the little children recited poems and showed pictures they had painted. Year 3 entertained us with a performance of ‘Stone Soup’ whilst Year 4 spoke caringly in a clever ‘Play on Words.’

We all joined in with ‘We plough the Fields . . .’ and finished the morning with ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ and a blessing from Mary Pennington.

The food will all go to help local elderly people and children’s homes.

Thank you parents for your generosity.
