Fairy Tales with a twist.

Posted: 25th January 2016 | Category: Year 2

By exploring Fairy Tales with a twist Year 2 have been enjoying learning about story structure. They  heard how Baby Bear had the best day of his life chasing Goldilcks!
They then discussed how silly Red Riding Hood was to talk to strangers and how naughty she was to eat all the goodies meant for Grandma, this led them on nicely to to making their own 'Keeping Safe' posters.  This began with lots of wonderful discussion work and then planning in their exercise books using imperative verbs before starting on their posters. The photos below show the children planning and then starting on their posters. Next week they will be writing their own version of  stories with a twist.
