Eco Club Work Together to Develop an Eco Code

Posted: 2nd October 2014

Our first Eco Club meeting was a great success! Thirteen pupils from Years 6 to 8 came along, keen to make the school a greener place. The pupils came up with some wonderful ideas of what we could achieve, from working together on an Eco Code for Skippers, to recycling, to raising awareness with posters.

Each year group has elected an Eco Rep, who will be in charge of the group's activities; reps will change regularly to allow as many pupils as possible a chance to take a leading role.

The group is initially open to the older pupils but, with a lot of enthusiasm throughout the school, we hope to include younger pupils in a Junior Eco Club, which senior pupils would lead.
