Budding young artists in Year!

Posted: 26th November 2014 | Category: Year 4

This term, in Art, the children in Year 4 have been working on portraits.

They have looked at the positions of features on the face and created collage faces incorporating 3-D features and crazy hair styles.

In the last few weeks we have been looking at the work of Pablo Picasso and the children have been working in pastels to create some of his well known faces.

I have been very impressed by the amount of concentration and attention to detail that have been incorporated into their pictures and the resulting art has created a real WOW factor. So much so that Artist of the week has been selected from Year 4 for two weeks in a row!

I am very proud of their achievements and would like to commend them on their hard work and enthusiasm.

The art work is on display in the Year 4 classroom and anyone is very welcome to visit us at any time and enjoy the results of lots of hard work!

Well done, Year 4.
