A great beginning for Year 3R

Posted: 16th September 2015 | Category: Year 3

It has been a great beginning to the term for all of us in 3R. I am new to the school and the children are new to Year 3 and the extended day that being part of the senior school entails. We are all settling in brilliantly. The children have adapted remarkably well to new routines and expectations. We got stuck straight into learning in all subjects and our current topic - World War Two - seems to be a big hit with the children. If you are all looking for a great wet weather day out I'd recommend a trip up to the Imperial War Museum! Welcome back class 3R!
In Y3 Art /DT lessons we are working towards making Anderson shelters. These will be tested and evaluated by the children upon completion. Please can children keep any packaging, materials from their home recycling that they would like to use for their Anderson shelters. The children will be working in groups so they might not use all the things they collect but the more choices they have the better their Anderson shelters are likely to be.
