Years 3 and 4 Impress Parents with ‘The Piper’

Posted: 26th April 2013 | Category: Year 3, Year 4

The children in Years 3 and 4 amazed and enthralled their audiences recently with two outstanding performances of ‘The Piper’. The children had been actively involved in all aspects of the play’s production, from designing the backdrop to suggesting stage directions and actions for songs.

They were quick to learn their lines and the songs, some of which involved three part harmonies.  The sound of the whole cast singing together was wonderful!  There were also opportunities for beautiful solo singing performances, trios and duets.

One of the highlights of the play was watching the confidence of pupils grow and grow.  All the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the performance and snippets of songs can still be heard all around the school!

Our thanks also go to Years 5 and 6 for their help with the making of Hamelin Town.

Parents were effusive with their praise for the children and one mother was heard to say it was the best school play she had ever seen!
