Kindness spreads through Skippers

Posted: 9th November 2016 | Category: Years 1 & 2, Years 3 & 4, Years 5 to 8

With World Kindness Day coming up this Sunday, Year 8 led the school in Monday’s Kindness assembly.

We all watched a video about how important it is to be kind to everybody, whether or not they are your friend and even when they are totally different from you.  Year 8 got the audience involved with questions about their own ways of showing kindness and Libby read us a story with some of the Year 7s acting it out.

Throughout the rest of the day, form reps from years 7 and 8 went to visit the junior year groups to do kindness-related activities and set the ball rolling for a thoughtful, caring week. Homemade posters and the promise of smiley stickers were made as a reward, to add to the warm glow of being kind!
