Year 7&8 treat locals to Afternoon Tea

Posted: 19th January 2017 | Category: Year 6, Year 7, Year 8

As the finale to Wellbeing Week, our Senior pupils worked together with local community services group MAYFACS to provide an afternoon tea with table service for local residents.  This involvement in the community is an important part of the Challenge Award as it encourages pupils to think beyond their immediate circle as well as developing their social skills.

Pupils and their parents were as always enthusiastic and supportive and came up with a fine array of cakes and cookies which were much appreciated by our guests.  We were really pleased that so many local people braved the snow to come along and a huge thank you too to our Year 6 performers who rounded off the afternoon with music and dancing.
