Year 7&8 Sports Tour to Jersey

Posted: 21st March 2016 | Category: Sports

Hopefully you will have had a chance to look at the display board in the dining room which gives a very accurate impression of the fun experienced by the Yr 7 and 8's  during their action packed five days in Jersey this year which included sporting events, recreational activities and many fun social moments!Judging by their comments at the end of the tour and the amount of laughter we heard, the children felt it had been an excellent bonding experience and that they had all learnt a lot about each other! Not only did they learn lots of facts about Jersey itself including its interesting history of occupation by the Nazis during WW2, the children visited the Gerald Durrell Wildlife Centre, the water park with its large slides and wave machine, they had a go at bowling, swam in the hotel pool, enjoyed the stunning coastal landscape, went rock-pooling, played beach Football, ate at lovely seaside restaurants and bopped away with 200 other pupils at the disco! We must not forget however, that Jersey is a sports tour and I'm pleased to say both the boys and girls played brilliantly out there notching up plenty of wins and proud moments at the many impressive venues we were lucky enough to experience!
