Year 1 visit St Dunstans

Posted: 8th March 2017 | Category: Year 1

On Monday afternoon Year 1 went for a special visit to St Dunstan’s Church in Mayfield. We were met by Fr Nigel who gave us a wonderful tour around the inside of the Church, giving the children an opportunity to have a closer look at all the different features and explaining the significance of them. All the children were even allowed to climb up into the Pulpit!

The highlight was a walk up the very windy staircase to the bell tower, where we happened to be sitting when the clock struck two! We followed our visit with a little walk up the high street to the playground where the children had a good old run around. What a lovely afternoon we had!
