Year 1 make clay candle holders to support learning about the Hindu Festival of Diwali

This year the Hindu Festival of Diwali took place on the 26th of October. To assist Year 1 with their learning about this festival of light, they enjoyed making Diwali candle holders out of clay. In line with the colours on the Indian flag, they painted them orange.

They also got the chance to act out the story of Rama and Sita and carefully coloured in Rangoli patterns. They also very much enjoyed taking part in the Diwali activities available on: http://www.ngfl-cymru.org.uk/diwali_-_ks1
