Under 9 boys have unbeaten season so far!

Posted: 23rd November 2016 | Category: Sports, Year 4

The U12 team have had a challenging term so far, but have shown outstanding commitment and determination in each game played. They played particularly well against an U12 Beechwood team, whom they beat 3-2, with a noticeable performance from Toby who is the top goal scorer this term.

The U11s have had their fair share of sporting success, winning two and drawing three out of 6 matches. This can be contributed to the power and speed of the Year 6s and helped by the skill of the Year 5s.

The U9 boys have gone from strength to strength this term, resulting in an unbeaten season of football.

The A, B and C teams have shown incredible skill, sportsmanship and enthusiasm during training sessions, matches and tournaments, toppling giants such as St. Andrew's and Bede's. As a result we have left other schools with an extremely positive and powerful impression of Skippers Hill as a sporting force to be reckoned with.
Every pupil has stood out so we would like to congratulate everyone on the following: Freddie R for being the highest goal scorer; Sam S and Ted B for controlling and dominating the game; Oliver D for his positioning and timing; Jake W, Josh H and Oliver H for their fantastic free kicks; Jac HP, Willoughby G, Vincent M, and Jack E for dribbling with impressive speed and control; Freddie A for his attacking and defensive headers; William M, Nathan W, Zeal A, Freddie L, Nicholas B, Alfie S for their solid defending and ability to start a counter attack; and Cameron M and Alex C for their fearless goalkeeping skills.
I have absolute confidence that they will continue to grow as a team and as individuals. Consequently, the U9s have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming rugby and hockey seasons.
