U13 Netball team get off to a promising start!

U13 vs Bedes B

The U13 Netball Team got off to a superb and promising start to the term today in their match vs Bedes B and were treated to a warm sports hall venue!

From the start it was clear we were the dominant team which gave us a chance to practice all our centre pass and back line tactics with a good degree of success. Libby was outstanding as GD making many interceptions by using her height and stretch to full advantage and for this she earns 'man of the match'. Jiya and Lydia shot with great accuracy while Ruby learnt to move with short, sharp movements in  the shooting circle.

Everyone played calm, well-spaced Netball and the most improved player was Gini who grew in confidence each quarter she played moving well, careful with her footwork and adding to the score too.

Our final and impressive score even with switching round positions was 23-6 and we were complimented on by both Bedes coaches and a father from the opposition for our excellent play.

What we now need to work on is much harder, faster passing for when we play stronger opposition which we will be working on next lesson!

Well done girls!
