U13 IAPS Rounders

Posted: 1st July 2013 | Category: Sports

Each year, there is strong competition at the IAPS (Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools) regional Rounders Tournament for U13 and U11 teams. For the past 10 years it has been held at Holmewood House in Tunbridge Wells and schools from Sussex, Kent and Surrey participate.

This year has seen our strongest ever team at U13, but even they had their work cut out. Our first match was the toughest of the day against Wellesley House whose reputation at Rounders is well established. However, we went on to win against Ardingly and Ashdown House. This was enough to put us into the Plate competition and we finished in third place. We were all delighted, especially as it meant returning to school with medals.

Well done girls! We've has a fantastic season. Thank you for your hard work and to Bibi Convert for captaining the team so capably.
