U11 Rounders v’s Claremont

Posted: 14th June 2016 | Category: Sports, Year 5, Year 6, Years 5 to 8

It was a pleasure to umpire the U11 Rounders Team vs Claremont and watch the girls work with such excellent and skilled team-work particularly in their fielding. There were some impressive moments when deep hits from the opposition were tackled with fearsome power and precision into second post by our fielders.  An air of confidence and calm determination from the Skippers team kept Claremont's score right down in the first innings giving us a comfortable lead.

Our batting as always could do with a little more power and consistency but we took advantage of a few fielding errors and steadily increased our score to take a win of 12  ½ – 8 Rounders.

Man of the match goes to Daisy, who not only thumped a few balls but who sprinted, swooped and dived in her determination to get that ball!

Well done to everyone who took part today I was very proud of you.
