U11 Rounders Tournament Lancing College

Posted: 14th June 2013 | Category: Sports

The U11 Rounders team had great fun at the Lancing Tournament this week and to top it all came home with runners up medals.

Following our victorious outcome at our own quadrangular the previous week against similar sized schools, we braced ourselves for the unknown against some bigger Brighton based teams.
Under beautiful sunshine we picnicked on the vast expanse of flat green playing fields of Lancing College overlooked by their imposing and beautiful chapel. We then romped our way through each match notching up the victories primarily because of our intelligent fielding.

Our final match was against Brighton College who had also won all their matches and we enjoyed a nail-biting conclusion where we just lost by two rounders.

I would have been happy with the manners and graciousness alone that our girls displayed throughout the day, but they added to that by returning to school with the glint of silver hanging from their necks!

Well done girls.
