Summer Diary Challenge

At the end of last year, all of the children who were in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were given a diary to complete over the summer holidays as an optional activity.  The aim of the diary challenge was to benefit the children’s literacy skills in many different ways: handwriting, spelling, phonics, punctuation, sentence formation and language development.  

Entries were judged and prizes were awarded last week. Miss Murphy and Miss Bakewell were extremely impressed not only by the number of entries received but also with the quality of work. They were all representative of the children's own work and consequently we decided that all entries not only deserved a certificate but also a prize in recognition of all the effort put in by the  children. Well done, everyone!
