Skippers Hill’s Harvest Festival Week

Posted: 13th November 2012

It has been a busy week as Skippers Hill celebrated Harvest Festival Week.

The Harvest Assembly was a wonderful event.  The Intermediate Choir performed a complicated version of “Sumer is y cumen in” well and this was conducted by Mr Lewis.  Reception and Year 1 entertained with their ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ song and actions and Year 5 shared a story about the importance of buying Fairtrade goods.

As part of Harvest Festival Week in the Kindergarten, the children made some baked apples. They loved taking the cores out of the apples and nibbling on the raisin filling. Once the apples were cooked, the children ate them with ice cream... Yum! Sadly the ice cream proved to be the more popular choice of dessert!

Watch a slideshow of the Kindergarten’s Harvest apples below.
