A positive start to the term in Netball

All 68 girls from Year 3 through to Year 8 had the chance to represent Skippers in a match this week, which started the spring term off with a positive 'BANG'!

Having kept a trickle of Netball running since September and with a few warm up matches at the end of last term, we were geared up for action!

All year groups have been working hard since the start of the autumn on a variety of skills but with particular emphasis on the magic and effectiveness of that well-timed move and good team communication.

The results last week were high scoring wins at both senior and middle school level along with a strong and victorious start for the U9s against Bedes Prep. The U13/12 B squad are beginning to work fantastically together and the U8s enjoyed their first Netball match as a year group, despite a narrow loss.

These results coupled with the enthusiasm and effort all year groups are putting into their training, leave me feeling hugely excited about the promise the Skippers Hill girls are showing from top to toe in the school.
