Skippers celebrate International Women’s Day

Posted: 8th March 2017

Skippers Hill celebrated International Women's Day by collaborating on our own version of Katy Perry's "Roar", with huge enthusiasm.

Our Monday morning assembly highlighted the world-changing inventions made by both men AND women, while recognising the relative lack of publicity for female role models.  So Skippers girls (and women!) became their own role models, singing about resilience, earning their stripes and being their own heroes.  Their eagerness to get involved and have a go was inspiring and gave me the sense that not much will hold this lot down!

Watch our video, below:

Thanks, girls.
