Reception and Kindergarten’s Teddy Bears Picnic

Posted: 1st July 2013 | Category: EYFS, Reception

As part of our induction process into Kindergarten and Reception we held a Teddy Bears Picnic. We were lucky with the weather and we all went down to the grounds for a fun lunch hour.

We started off by reading ‘We are going on a Bear Hunt’ and then by going to go and find some Skippers teddies. Luckily the children managed to find one each. Then we all sat down for a gourmet picnic provided by the fabulous Skippers cooks.

Once we had eaten and been refreshed, the Year 7 girls came to play games for the afternoon. The bubble machine was on and it added to the wonderful atmosphere.

It is transition time in Kindergarten and now the Kindergarten have grown and developed into children who are about to start school. We are preparing for the grand Graduation Day on the 2nd July where Kindergarten will sing songs and be given the send off they deserve. There will not be a dry eye in the house…
