Skippers Hill U12/U11 Netball vs Newlands

Playing indoors always takes a little adjustment as our mixed U12/U11 Netball team found out last Wednesday when we started off with a few ‘off the mark’ passes! Strong, fast, flat and to the space ahead of the receiver was the order of the day as far as passing was concerned and the team were soon doing just that.

We quickly gained a healthy lead with some beautiful goals from Tali who worked the circle space with skill and determination.

After the first quarter, we all swapped positions for the rest of the match, giving us the opportunity to test out our versatility. Our ‘non-shooters’ continued to notch up the score and, although the use of the court space was not quite so effective, strong and accurate passing did indeed prevail as we finished with a 15-2 win.

Well done to the four U11s who held their own so confidently.  Ellen is our man of the match for such an improved standard of play, but very well done to all involved!
