Rain does not stop play after all!

Rain does not stop play!

Lots of long faces including my own filled the lunchtime dining room at Skippers as the matches were cancelled one by one due to a  very wet and windy Wednesday!

Not to be deterred, the dining room was quickly converted into a sporting venue with the lunch tables becoming five decent table tennis tables thanks to Mr Gurran and his endless enthusiasm for finding ways to play all sports possible! All children from Yr 5 to 8 played a series of mini matches during two sessions and much fun was had by all. Winner of the Yr 5 group was Alfie H in his final with Daisy G and in the senior session a close fought battle between Lydia and Ellen saw Lydia the champ!

In quick succession all children made their way to the gym where a fearsome house contest of Dodgeball took place. In a nail-biting final between Drake and Churchill which meant the difference between a Drake victory or draw for all houses, it was Drake with some awesome catches who snatched the win!

Well done to all of you for such a fun afternoon filled with a great sporting attitude!
