Quiz night raises over £1,000

Posted: 9th February 2016

On Friday 29th January, about 80 eager participants gathered together in the Gym for the annual Jersey Tour Quiz Night. The nine assembled teams began pitting their brains against each other with a picture round on logos.  This was followed by some taxing questions on 2015 News and Current Affairs, History and Music.
At half time, energy levels were replenished with a delicious chilli cooked by Mark “you’ll be amazed by my versatility when a crisis arises” Hammond and appetising desserts provided by parents.
During further rounds on Music, Sports, Geography and Literature and Classic resounding cries of  “I told you that was the answer!” or “Oh of course I knew that!”  were heard coming from the various tables.
However, the night finished with “Lowe and Behold” winning the coveted cup (not for the first time either!)
A huge thank you to the Quizmaster, Paul Mack, who took centre stage for the final time, after many years and his able assistant Mark Quittenton. Also to Matt Kuzemko for stepping in at late notice to help “run the floor. Thank you also to all those who attended, the parents who contributed the raffle prizes and desserts and to those who helped in so many ways on the night. Last, but certainly not least, a massive thank you to Adele Hadow for the huge amount of effort and time she put in towards making the evening another big success, which resulted in raising just over £1,000.
