Pentathlon at Skippers!

Posted: 18th June 2015

At last a day when sunscreen and caps were very much in need at Skippers Hill for our annual Pentathlon event held on our fabulous grounds. Five disciplines, three schools and three age groups represented by two boys and two girls from each school were the order of the day.

With Common Entrance over, a relaxed and happy bunch of Year 8's came down to help with tape measures, score boards and to enjoy the summer sunshine while cheering on their friends.

Skippers had a very successful afternoon with Cole, Diya and Sarah coming top in three of the six groups and Tom F coming a close second in his group in which he was a year young.

Congratulations to Diya who broke not only her personal best, but the school record for the U12 100m race.

Every one of our pupils who took part gave the event their maximum effort in all areas including a hot 800m run with some impressive individual achievements.

Well done to all involved and thank you to Ian Ritchie for his superb organisation of a truly lovely afternoon of Athletics!
