Paws and Claws - a truly memorable evening

What a truly memorable evening. Over 50 children from Years 5 - 8 became warring cats and dogs, each group determined to prove supremacy. Loosely based on Romeo and Juliet, the Montagues become the Wolves and the Capulets the Lions. Despite Fury's determined efforts to perpetuate the feud, the cats and dogs agree that they would prefer to live in harmony.

From the excellent singing of Year 5, soloists and ensembles, the menacing inmates of the Pound, the cats sharpening their claws to the dogs flexing their muscles, everyone had a part to play and the cast's obvious enjoyment shone through. There was humout throughout which had the audience chuckling. And true love prevailed as Jack and Melody helped to heal the rift.

There are too many fantastic performances to single anyone out for special mention.  Those of you in the audience will agree that it was a truly memorable performance!  The composer, Matt Crossey, was also in the audience which was fantastic. He, too, enjoyed the evening - accolade indeed!
