Mums and Dad take on girls at Netball!

Mothers vs Girls Netball

With numbers slightly diminished due to singing exams and broken bones, the 'Mothers (and a father!) vs Girls' Netball match went ahead this Tuesday and not even the light drizzle could dampen the fun had by all in a series of exciting mini matches. The older girls were first to take on the mothers who included Sarah, the super-fit  'Iron Lady Mud Challenger' (or something like that!) and Mr Mack the fearsome interceptor who caused quite a lot of whistle blowing! Despite some lovely moments from the valiant adults, the girls secured a 2-0 victory and managed not to be too smug! Next up  were the U11's who bravely zipped around the court trying to avoid their giant opponents but height overcame them and revenge was had with a 6-0 win for the mothers. Finally, two teams were created mixing the generations and ages and after a close run contest a final score of 2-2 finished off a great afternoon of Netball. We were treated to a delicious and well-deserved tea in the dining room after and I would like to give a big thank you to all those parents who came to take part and create such a nice way for the girls to end the Netball season during which they have worked so hard!
