Mothers versus Daughters Netball

Posted: 7th June 2012 | Category: Sports

The Skippers netball courts were buzzing with excitement as the girls got ready to take on the ever increasing number of enthusiastic ‘Back to Netball’ Skippers mothers.  The scene was set for what turned out to be 3 challenging matches as The Mothers played against the U13 A’s, U13 B’s and U11’s.

Nikki Morris, The Mothers’ captain, came ready for action, sporting a smart tracksuit.  She had learned from last year's regrettable decision to play in her work clothes.  But even a smart tracksuit was not enough to prevent her team from being thrashed by the U13 A’s, captained by her daughter.

The two other girls' teams gave The Mothers a good run for their money, but The Mothers were able to raise their games and win!

Enormous fun was had by all and this was followed by a well-earned Match Tea. Plenty of egg sandwiches were devoured and, of course, Wendy’s delicious sponge cake.

And no one was puffed out or suffering from aching limbs the next day... well, none of the daughters that is!!
