Girls sport continues to impress

Posted: 9th November 2016 | Category: Sports, Years 5 to 8

The first half of term with its clement temperatures and beautiful blue skies meant the first few weeks were packed with long training sessions, fixtures and clubs with rain never once stopping play! The girls have worked hard to improve their Hockey skills and team tactics in what has been so far a predominantly Hockey-based season with some very good results under the enthusiastic guidance of our new coaches Matthew Minister and Anna Morgan. The U11 girls in particular came together well as a team, winning some matches with ease, going through to the play off and punching above their weight in the highly competitive East Grinstead Hockey tournament. Well done to all those who committed to the evening Hockey and Netball club sessions making the most of the last few light evenings before the clock change. We have kept a trickle of Netball on the go since the beginning of the term for all years in preparation for the Netball season which is almost upon us with its many fixtures and tournaments. Team spirit and good sportsmanship are the order of the day as we look forward to a productive and progressive few weeks ahead!
