Form of the Fortnight: Year 5

Posted: 9th May 2014 | Category: Year 5

Pupils in Year 5 have been sharing some of their recent work in English, Geography, Art and Drama.

In their English lessons, the children have been learning how to create storyboards and how they might go about turning a book into a film.

Watch the short video below for an insight into one of Year 5’s lessons:

The children have been working on their own storyboards, which we hope to share with you soon.

Year 5 has been researching different types of Eco Systems.

As part of their enquiry based learning, they have been asking themselves questions, such as:

Where is it?
What is it like?
How do we use it?
Are there any environmental problems?

In their Art lessons, pupils in Year 5 have enjoyed creating ‘illuminated letters’.

In Drama, the children have enjoyed working in groups to act out a scene from their favourite book or film.
