Flash Mob: Anti-Bullying Message

Posted: 22nd November 2013

A Flash Mob brought together the Skippers Community  this week with an assembly message about bullying, for anti-bullying week.

Our newly-formed dance group led the whole school in a series of moves to a One Direction track.  Pupils were made aware of the following quote by Liam Payne, from One Direction:

“I was a victim of bullying back in school. My advice is to always tell someone straight away and ask for help.  Keeping it to yourself will only be more damaging in the long run." Liam Payne, One Direction

The anti-bullying message reinforced the need to beware of:
•    being called names
•    being put down or humiliated
•    being teased
•    being pushed or pulled about
•    having money and other possessions taken or messed about with
•    having rumours spread about you
•    being ignored and left out
•    being hit, kicked or physically hurt
•    being threatened or intimidated

It was great to see the pupils come together in their awareness of bullying.
