Early Years Bake Off Raises Money for Comic Relief

Posted: 21st March 2013

On Thursday 14th March, children from the Early Years donned chef hats and red noses for a special Bake Off event where they sold cakes to staff and children at the school to raise money for Comic Relief.

The Kindergarten and Reception children spent the week baking almost 200 muffins, marshmallow crispy cakes and rocky roads in preparation for the event. Parents also contributed some impressive baked creations to the cake sale.

All of the staff and pupils at the school attended the Bake Off and were impressed with the enormous range of baked goods on offer.  Many found it very difficult to limit their selections to just one or two.

Kindergarten leader, Molly Mills was delighted with the success of the event: “Great fun was had by all and we managed to raise £150 for Comic Relief.  The baking skills of the Early Years will be remembered for a long time to come!”
