Creative Entries From Skippers’ First Scarecrow Competition
Posted: 13th November 2012
The children in Kindergarten to Year 2 children were set the task of making a scarecrow at home as part of Skippers Hill’s first ever Scarecrow Competition and the results have been fantastic!
The scarecrows could either be a traditional design or something more original. Entries were remarkable and certainly very creative! Skippers has now seen a pirate squirrel, a Roman Centurion, a lion and a scarecrow made out of vegetables.
Miss Bakewell, who organised the event, said ‘it’s marvellous how many families have taken part! We’ve had a fantastic response and the children and parents have had so much fun making them.’
The winners were announced in Thursday’s Harvest Assembly.
Five equal prizes were awarded to:
Olivia and Agnes,
Oliver and Henry,
All other entries were awarded a certificate and a WOW!
