Come and Support the Skippers Performers at the Mayfield Mayfair This Saturday

Posted: 25th May 2012

This Saturday 12th May, Skippers pupils will take part in the annual Mayfield Mayfair.  It will be the fifth year that Skippers Hill have been involved with the event and this year is looking to be...

A procession will lead from the bottom of Mayfield High Street to Court Meadow, where the May Queen will be crowned and the fair will take place.

The Skippers children will open proceedings by performing three Maypole Dances and then one of the performers will ask the May Queen to dance.

After their performance, the dancers will enjoy ice creams and will then be free to enjoy all that the fair has to offer, including hog roast, a falconry display, bouncy castles, BMX and skateboarding demonstrations and about 20 trade stalls.

This year the fair will include many sporting and community events in celebration of London 2012 Olympics. Find out more about what will be happening at the Mayfield Mayfair here.

Skippers Hill is excited to have their own trade stand at the fair this year, which Fiona will be manning.

Everyone  is encouraged to come along to support the Skippers children, visit their stand and enjoy the excitement of the fair!
