Years 7&8 reproduce Pop Art

The pupils in the Senior School have been studying the work of Pop Artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. We have looked at some of the iconic images they created in the 1960’s - bold colours, favoring the comic strip as an inspiration. Year 4 has been working on the theme of nature.

They have practised creating different textures using pencil and then using their ideas to create scenes. They spent a very pleasant sunny Art lesson out in the grounds, drawing observational pictures of flowers, trees and plants. Collage was then used to create flowers from tissue paper.
