Daily Assemblies some departmental, some whole school provide an opportunity for the Junior School to prepare and perform an area of interest to their peers, as well as ensuring that children in the Junior School feel valued as an important part of the whole school.

Educational visits to support class topics occur most terms, and the children enjoy theatre trips and interactive workshops with visiting theatre companies. We believe these to be invaluable ways to add an extra dimension to learning while at the same time being great fun!

Late Club is a facility offered to children with older siblings at Skippers or to support working parents. This enables children to stay for an educational activity within the Junior Department until 4.30 pm..

Clubs & Activities form an important part of the Hidden Curriculum. These include Judo, Gymnastics, Ballet, Swimming and Tennis. The Junior Choir and Productions also afford our children the opportunity to display their talents in public.

Happy children achieve! The Junior School strives to create an environment filled with challenges, opportunities and fun. A Christmas Production in the Autumn Term, The Easter Egg Hunt, Eastbourne Festival and Book Week in the Spring Term and a Teddy Bears Picnic and Sports Day in the Summer Term - all these help to create a happy and successful Junior School.
