FOSHA Events Calendar and Summary of Activity

September
(27th September 13)
FOSHA holds a welcome coffee morning for existing and new parents to meet the Committee members, form parent representatives and of course, each other.
October
(22nd October 13)
FOSHA organises the school disco and provides the children with evening refreshments. 
NovemberCo-ordination of a children’s mufti-day for the Christmas Fayre. Parents asked for donations of both bottles (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and chocolates for the Christmas Fayre’s tombola, in exchange for pupils being allowed to come to school in their own clothes for the day.
December

FOSHA decorates the schools Christmas tree and co-ordinates the Christmas Fayre (the main fundraising event for the year). 

A competition is held for pupils to design a poster to promote the Fayre, with the winning entry published on the front cover of the Fayre programme. 

FOSHA co-ordinates a Secret Santa event for the children whereby parents are asked to provide a small, inexpensive gift per child for each parent. The gifts are all pooled and on Secret Santa day the children buy back a gift for each of their parents. FOSHA then wrap the gifts for the children to take home and give to their parents at Christmas. All monies raised from this event are donated to charity. 

FOSHA funds are also used to book an entertainer for the annual Juniors’ Christmas party.

March
(6th March 14)

Members of FOSHA serve school baked cookies and cocoa to the Junior children who return to school in their PJ’s for Cocoa Evening, an evening of storytelling by the parents, usually followed by a sing song by the children themselves. This is run in conjunction with World Book Day. 

FOSHA also makes a contribution to the Jersey Tour fund for the Year 8 children. 

April    
(2nd April 14)
FOSHA co-ordinates an Easter Egg Hunt for the Juniors and provides Easter themed treats as prizes for the Seniors Easter challenge devised by the teachers. 
May
(20th May 14)
The FOSHA Annual General Meeting is held whereby the Chairman’s and Treasurers Reports are presented to the Committee and attendees. New members are also voted onto the Committee and all parents are welcome to attend.
June 
(14th June 14)
In June the Committee and volunteers organise and run refreshments including a bar and tuck shop for the annual school Sports Day.
July    
(3rd July 14)

The FOSHA Committee organise a fun day, either at school or at local venues, for all pupils to enjoy. 

A drinks evening is held to thank the FOSHA Committee and form parent representatives.

OngoingFOSHA creates a rota for the Friday Café which is run by a different year group most Friday afternoons. The running of the Café is then organised by the respective form parent representatives.
