Reception Class

Our Reception Class, led by Louise Hemsley and supported by Teaching Assistant Mrs Jackie Parker, encourages a love for learning from an early age by offering a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum.  The children enjoy a rich learning experience which is fun and full of exciting activities, outings, interacting with visitors, gardening, woodland exploration and cookery, as well as Music, PE and Games taught by specialist Senior staff.

The Reception children are taught in a modern building complete with the latest teaching resources and a dedicated outdoor play space. Close proximity to the main school building enables the Reception children to use all the school’s facilities including the ICT suite, gymnasium, swimming pool and playing fields. Children make full use of the school’s 32 acre site for a range of learning-based activities and they also receive specialist teaching in French and Music.
