Our pupils understand early on how fortunate one is to live in the wealthy western part of the world, where abundance and opportunity is available to most. The school encourages pupils' awareness of developing nations and teaches them to contribute in many ways to those in need.

For many years, The school has supported local and national charities, Jeans for Genes Day, Denim for Diabetes, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, NSPCC, WWF. At times, funds are raised specifically for certain charities at the direct request of the pupils. The School also sponsored three young children in Unganda (for several years) through the charity ICR. Recently, through the charity 'Extra Cover', our sponsorship has transferred to providing essential items for a school in Sri Lanka, devastated by the Tsunami.

For the last twenty years, The Skippers Hill (second hand) Uniform Shop has raised considerable amounts of money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Our choirs traditional Christmas visits to Nursing Homes are most appreciated by elderly people who look forward to their return.
