Scholarships & Bursaries

Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded annually to external applicants, on performance in the Open Scholarship Examination. Boys and girls of any educational background may apply for a Scholarship. Candidates should be in current Year 2 or above. Younger children displaying real ability may be assessed earlier by the Headmaster on request.

Children who show outstanding all-round promise and achievement in the fields of Art, Music, Drama or Sport may apply for relevant Scholarships.

Bursaries

At Skippers we are keen to encourage and enable talented pupils from all backgrounds to attend the school. To this end, we are able to offer a number of means tested bursaries to those with particular talents whether in Academic subjects, Art, Sport, Music or Drama.

If you are interested in finding out more, please contact the Registrar who will then arrange for you to visit the school and meet the Headmaster.

If you then wish to apply for a means-tested bursary, your child will be called for an interview and assessment.

Means-tested bursaries are reviewed on an annual basis, taking into account changes in financial circumstances and the academic progress and commitment of both parent and child to the school.

Further details concerning Scholarships and Bursaries maybe obtained from the Registrar.
